The Zagreb-based Croatian festival director Zvonimir Dobrović launched the Queer Zagreb festival in 2003 at the young age of 23 to take the concept of queer beyond the limited perspectives of the conventional LGBT (les, gay, bisexual and transgender) and create a wider platform for the arts.
