Worry Kinoshita
Playwright and director Worry Kinoshita was born on Tokyo in 1971. In 1993, he established the theater company the unit Gekidan Sekaiichi-dan while still a student at Kobe University. Currently he is the leader of the theater company Sunday (name changed from Gekidan Sekaiichi-dan ) in charge of all playwriting and directing. In addition to writing numerous plays for other companies, he has been involved in festival production and programing directing for festivals including the Osaka Short Play Festival, PLAYPARK, Tama 1 km Festival, World Theatre Festival Shizuoka under Mt. Fuji – Open-air Performing Arts Festival, and others. Kinoshita also serves as producer and director of the non-verbal performance unit THE ORIGINAL TEMPO that has performed since 2005 in S. Korea, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, Singapore and other foreign venues. He has also directed stages for the idol group Tokyo Performance Dolls, and continued to present new forms of stage performance combining a mix of theater and live performance, and fusions of media art and performance.
