Dance critic and director of Panorama Festival
In 2011 Brazil’s contemporary dance Panorama Festival celebrated its 20th anniversary. Founded in 1992 by the still active choreographer Lia Rodrigues, the festival has provided a cumulative total of some 100,000 people the opportunity to experience contemporary dance in its 20 years. After serving as the festival’s guest curator for the first time in 2001, dance critic Nayse López succeeded Rodrigues as its second director in 2005. In recent years the festival has been actively collaborating in productions with artists and organizations in Latin America, Europe and Japan as well.
