Ema Yuasa

dancer, choreographer
Born in Hiroshima Prefecture. Graduated at the head of her class from Monaco’s Princess Grace Academy (Principal: Marika Besobrasova) before going on to enter NDT II in 2004 and progressing to NDT I in 2006. From 2010, Yuasa began presenting her own dance choreography, and after leaving NDT to work independently in 2015, she has performed as a guest dancer in works like Mats Ek’s Juliet and Romeo (dancing the part of Juliet) and Sasha Waltz’s Körper . She has been a registered artist of Eastman since 2016, and has been active with the contemporary dance project Opto with Rei Watanabe and Kenta Kojiri since 2013.
