Made up of some 17,500 islands including Java, Sumatra and Bali, with approximately 300 distinct ethnic groups and 600 dialects, Indonesia is truly a multi-cultural nation. Amidst this great ethnic diversity, Kelola was established as an NPO in 1999 and has since brought a breath of fresh air to the arts world in Indonesia through programs such as arts manager training.
